I have delayed further my secret plans of becoming a secret someone, at least for a year. The reason : I got a chance to work for a company that is involve with clean energy - solar cells/ panels to be exact. My advocacy concerns the environment as it ranks highest among my life's goal (O ha, sankapa!). Even my secret classmates find it amusing that I was mainly pursuing the secret degree to advance my environmental advocacy when it would be more convenient if not more lucrative to be inline with IT.
But really, unlike most of my classmates whose main reason for enduring the humiliation and eye strain from reading tons of telenovela material is the prospect of earning more.
As an environmentalist, I am elated by the fact that I am working for a green company. But here, many of my co-workers don't give a damn. Like most pinoys are, its just like any other job,.Employer needs employee, employee needs job.
Haha, call it idealist all you want. But as Shawn Wayans a.k.a Britanny Wilson in White Chicks succinclty puts it -- 'It's not just a bag, its PRADA!'
