no longer innocent

UP announced that it would show the clip that launch a thousand siege. Well, it's UP. We are in RP, no one is extreme enough here to cause such a widespread raucous. Well, generally, at least. Though speculative, it is not impossible that some extremist muslim might already be in our midst.

Today, a last minute announcement was made saying that the film will no longer be shown. Like an "inasinang bulate" the attention-whore professor that HE is - claimed so many things and that certain rights were trampled.

Kamown, sir. Why was the showing got cancelled? I am sure the issue is not about us being deprived of our  constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. I think the issue was security. Unless you can guarantee that no extremist would pass "security" and throw a grenade or open fire at the freedom loving UP community.

See, this is not about us and assault to our freedom. Remember the clip can be viewed over the internet, and unlike in some countries where many Muslims would not even dare exercise restraint and  logic, we in the free country of PH can see it any time and play it on loop if one wishes to.

But please, don't be a grandstanding-scumbag-attention-whore-ambulant-chaser-wig-wearing professor on this issue. You'll never know. Why don't you just assign your class to watch the film in the safe confines of their rooms/ or dorms and then submit a reaction paper. No need for a public showing as if it was an art film. Promise po, mas maganda pa production value ng Bogart-GangnamStyle.
