"Corona is whistle-blower, claims Lauro Vizconde" bannered by Inquirer
The 3rd co-equal branch of this government refuses to fade into the background and has to have its bombastic share of controversies -- only it doesn't need one. I dunno if it's really just coincidence or the Court of Corona is an attention-whore-seeking-headline-grabbing sannofabeach; it's like the majority has some knack for controversy, what's with Justice Mendoza's jumping to the other side of the League of Cities Case? Oh my, the Last Bastion of this country's democracy is crumbling from within.
As to Old man Lauro Vizconde's naming Corona as the Justice who implicates Justice Carpio as the alleged "nangba-braso" -- if true, Uh oh.
It's still fresh in everybody's mind that one of the the first acts of this Chief Justice included the merry-go-round to different media outfits. There he tried, unsuccessfuly I gathered, to pursuade everyone who cares to listen that he is not a midnight appointee, that he is qualified, that he is destined. Except that he is a midnight appointee and that J.Carpio, or J.Carpio-Morales is far better than he is (so far as quality of ponencia is concerned, at least: i know I'm bias on this one).
I personally believe, if the Oldman Vizconde said is the truth, that it was unethical for J.Corona to have named Carpio, or any Justice for that matter so casually. Imagine, the CJ doing a CristyFermin casting suspicions to a member of his own Court?!
Still on hypo: If true, and if Carpio's trying to influence other members of SC and it's wrong, why didn't the Chief Justice, right there and then cited Carpio for wrongdoing? Why did the Chief Justice, of all the mortals, have to share this with Mr.Vizconde? Very odd behavior indeed.
Unless, Oldman Vizconde and SlutMouth Jimenez are fibbing and actually conspired to tell this elaborate lie!
