Malacanang vs. JDV : He caused his father's head.

I arrived late and real hungry. I languidly sat for a while and then fried 2 eggs and a piece of tocino. I arrived so late the evening news is already having its telecast and it's all over them, the motion for vacancy of speakership is ongoing. And it is the yes vote that's already surpassed the 121 needed votes to pass the motion. So certainly now, de Venecia's fear pierced his arrogance.

Surprising this is not for it's been hounding De Venecia for weeks now. At first he was cool about it what with Malacanang purportedly supports him, but then the noise got louder and so was he. So much for his MORAL REVOLUTION, he started lambasting and shamelessly itemize the things he have done for certain individuals --- particularly Nograles. The former called the latter AMBITIOUS in his most 'kokey' look.

Hmm.

And now as I watched him in Bandila delivering passionately his privilege speech going for broke, he almost confirmed what the opposition had already been haranguing the public before -- albeit without proof. The old man looks like he's having a heart attack. Yes it must have been sad. Yes it must have been revolting. Definitely a gesture from a desperate man clinging dearly for his political career. Amazing morals.

They have divided the house and torture us while they were given 3 minutes to explain why they want to kiss De Venecia's arse or La Gloria's ass. And some wanted to lick neither.

My observation is that most representatives in their explanation vaguely refers to their yes vote as beneficial for their constituent. But how? Your guess is as good as mine I bet.

The perpetual oppositionists on the other hand were overly joyous by De Venecia's confirmation of illegalities in the administration, they were vindicated after all. The funny man from CIBAC is shameless himself, a self righteous hypocrite son of a televangelist. I cringe every time he pontificate on what is moral and what is not. He must be having a selective amnesia ...

CDO Representative Darlene Antonino never fails to substantiate her claims and make good of her rhetorics. She's a gem among the 'tradpols' from the opposition. I believe her when she questioned the entire matter altogether believing that it's a battle between JDV and the Malacanang. Her suppositions were more effective because they are devoid of the usual verbiage and pomposity that usually accompanies the tirades of her colleagues. And Rep. Zamora also rose to the challenge. He have distinguished himself from the rest of the opposition bloc by his pertinent questions and explanations.

The rest were chuwari-wari-wap. They were a picture of gluttonous Romans who want to feast for the whole week and fatten themselves until they were all obese creatures of the ocean.

As they say their piece, JDV appeared gloomy as if he's measuring everybody by how much he had helped them. As if thinking hard and trying to dive at the deepest recesses of his memory on how to make them feel ungrateful ambitious ingrates. His wife is wearing a smile mask, constipated smile of disgust and worry while Joey looked nervous. After all he brought this to his father all for the sake of love for our country.

And yes this is not about the Filipinos, nor about changes in the leadership of the Lower House. This is a battle of who got the clout. Malacanang have won this round, the question now is how long can they sustain their campaign to stifle the truth?
