So I have to change my banner to greet 2008. Thanks G for the photoshop shortcuts. Haven't tried the CS3, yes, mac according to my brother sometimes is not that user friendly. 'nyway just marvel at the new banner! Hahaha.

2007 has been a good year for me for many reasons. Dream realization, pay increase, 1st year anniv, and there's really no major personal crises. I can say the same thing with our country. The peso got really strong and if not for it upsetting the price surge of global oil price hell I'm as
poor as dagang bukid by now. ERAP was convicted of PLUNDER (although he wasn't able to rot in jail... at least I can call him ERAP the PLUNDERER!). I just hope that 2008 would even be better and that this time, the masses would feel the so-called strong economy. Hehehe...

GMA is lucky I think because as 2010 nears, focus on her would be less as the WANNABEs would try to outshine each other. Good for her.

But really, I hope 2008 would be better for everyone!

Of rights and left

Yes, the Constitution is clear and keen on protecting our rights, and as a matter of fact our country adheres to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Alarmingly, many persons or entities use this "rights card" not just to protect themselves from unjust-inhumane treatment but to bully others into submitting into their wistful wishes. Evidently, just like any balisong -- a double bladed weapon, the Bill of Rights which the raison d` etre is to uphold our human dignity, some people, of course those with POWER, cannot help themselves but to use the same to justify their exploits and seemingly undignified ways of furthering their business interest.

Case in fact is ABS-CBN. teehee, that's the problem with blow-by-blow account coverage, and I'm talking about their Manila Pen Siege live coverage. Naman, they cannot deny the fact that they went overboard in delivering the news to the people because as they claim... IT IS OUR
RIGHT (the public) TO INFORMATION. Opo, nakita namin kung gaano kayo kakulit! Makulit na hindi nakakatuwa. I would not go into details, just google it and more angry bloggers will tell you why. The funny part was what happened days after. Thrilled-anes et al were relegated to side stories while the ALLEGED police violation of the mediamen's RIGHT .. free spech, freedom of the press, right of the people to information, et cetera et cetera .. consistently made the headlines. IKAW na may ari ng istasyon ng TV! Really now, ABS lang ang umangal ng sobra -sobra... And they never fail to air that clip on tv showing footages of that uneventful event while the ABS voiceover man saying his piece about 'sa panig nang katotohanan' yakitidakdak.... hoping to brainwash us! Not me salami... strike 1!

Now, ABS-CBN has figured in another battle, this time about the ratings and allegedly manipulations from rival GMA. Funny talaga! Siguro nakahinga mga politiko sa pambabatikos ng mga to kasi focus sila sa sarili nila ngayon. According to various news and opinion writers -- ratings are important for they fuel the business of these network giants. Number one - 1 - uno equals more advertisers, therefore more money- moolah - kwarta. Oh well, strike 2 ABS!

It seems ABS is on the offensive lately, what with the Manila Pen and this time the AGB Nielsen controversy. They are on a frenzy.. feeding frenzy. Protecting their rights, to exploit that is.

Haha same with print media, Both Philippine Daily Inquirer and Manila Bulletin are zeroing on Philippine Star this time about ads claim... well same topic pa rin. Sabi nga ng Meja, "It's all about the money, it's all about the dam dam didi damdam".

Another recent display of ABS of its feeding-frenzy type of arrogance is the way they are riding on Charice Pempengco's triumph. They sucks big time LOL! Undeniably, CP joined their contest and because she failed to measure to what ABS' idea of what talent is, she settled for third, the contest was won by a gary v. wannabe named Sam Concepcion. News has it that her mother had begged the network to guest her daughter on some of the network's show but to no avail. Thanks to youtube she got discovered by sweden, korea, now US of A. Ngayon nagkukumahog ang ABS na bigyan si CP ng album, tama yung isang observer, nauna pang magka-album si KIM CHUI!

Hehehe... Ano naman to ngayon? the right of first claim? Charice is on the verge of penetrating the international scene, and the least ABS can do is to support her and not to stiffle that budding international career. Speculations has it that ABS won't relase CP from her contracts with the network. I repeat speculations... therefore speculative (ano daw?). Hahahahaha. strike 3!

hmmm... si KARMA minsan kaibigan, minsan kaaway.

Ang sabi ang mga salbahe o naghahangad ng masama at mga hali-mamaw na masasama ay naka-karma. Yung tipong un-expectedly may mangyayring hindi maganda, ayun nakarama ang ibubulalas ng iba. Ano ba si karma? Active Entity ba ito, na tipong BIG BROTHER na sumusubaybay sa mga kilos natin, at kapag gumawa tayo ng masama ay... kabloog... pow... wham... kablam... ang kahihinatnan ng nasabing naghahalimaw na tao. Active entity ba ito na masasagap niya ang plinaplano mo? Papano kung iniisip mo pa lang pero masama na, 'mala inse' o criminal intent kumbaga, sisingilin ka na ba ni Karma.

Ang punto ko, pano kung nalaman mo na binulaga na pala ni KARMA yung taong matagal mo nang minimithing KARMA-hin, matutuwa ka ba? Ipapakita mo bang masaya ka? O pipigilan mo sarili mo kasi baka makita ka ni KARMA at ikaw naman ang biglang pagbalingan ng kakaiba niyang powers?

monday-tuesday

1.19am

i just arrived. my eyes are drooping but i have to go online not to blog (this is but incidental) but to chat with J, she's offline so i just sent her an email. We were not able to meet this Saturday because i have a battle this week, i assumed she consented (because for a while i thought it was taking its toll on our relationship... it is, but we are managing... i think so... hoping...), and base on her mails there is the element of consent.

so why am i late? i attended a xmas party at dampa. it was fun and nice but im too tired to enjoy every bit of it. my eyes are squinting but my lips are curling... smiling. gravity is pulling my shoulders yet my voice is booming... laughing.

there's another xmas party scheduled for thursday, and 2 for friday..... YES it's xmas na.... everybody anticipates these events .... and i cannot care enough. still am swamped with digests, provisions and reviewers.


sige matutulog na ko..... gigising pa ako ng 3.30, maliligo, sasakay ng pa-ayala, papasok sa opisina ng ala-sais, mag tatrabaho....
