Give it to Gov. Panlilio, all the fuss due to his being a political greenhorn. I would not focus on whether it was a bribe or not, or should the good governor accepted the money or not. We do not really know what transcribed in that League of Governor's meeting, so I should just reserve my comment until further information (¿incriminating?) leaks out. As to the ever-talkative and very bitter BISHOP OSCAR CRUZ, tsk tsk tsk is all I can say. And I quote:
“The teaching of the Church is clear: However holy your intention could be, you cannot just use money if you don’t know its source for this may be wrong,” Archbishop Oscar Cruz of the Lingayen and Dagupan Archdiocese, said in an interview with Church-run Radyo Veritas.
»» Ang plastic! It is a common knowledge that Catholic Church receives money from Jueteng Lords. And that not a very long time ago a clergy even defended the Church action and feigning innocence as to the source of the money telling everybody that donations are donations and that it is not the Church's business to ask where it came from. Haay, naku another hypocritical act from the bitter 'oscar the grouch' cruz.
“I have been against his entering into politics ever since so I would just reserve more comments on the issue involving him,” Cruz said referring to Panlilio, who was former parish priest in Pampanga. Cruz headed the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines.
»» Aynaku ulit, this shows you Mr.Grouch is a one bitter priest, Gov. Panlilio beat you into it. At least his brand of service is an 'action' type unlike yours, 'the-tongue-lashing-toxic-comments-criticize-like-there's-no-tomorrow' type of a bitter self blasphemer. At least si gov positive, eh ikaw mr.grouch? phooey!
He said the distribution of the cash was “nauseating,” considering that it took place in the wake of the filing of a new impeachment case against President Arroyo.
»» Yeah, Let's philosophize everything! Everyone is a moral person, and thou art the most moral of them all... yikes!
“It’s so sad to know that not too many of our politicians have the courage to say no to money. It seems that when it comes to money, most of them really melt down,” Cruz lamented.
»» Oh well, and so is the Church that you are serving.
