Monday - Tuesday

I was shocked to hear the news of the death of my HS classmate's father. I was shocked not because of his passing, but the manner of his demise. He was to collect his spouse, close their shop. Evil person pounced on him. Evil person grabbed their money. Evil person shot him in the head. DEATH.

Really, why do bad things happen to good people?

But before him, a week after the Holyweek, someone was also shot dead here in our community. The temerity of these goons is appalling.

So there, last Monday night 23 April, we consoled our friend. But I was thinking of other things, of justice, of revenge, of heaven, and of hell. That I fervently hope there's hell to burn them - gun wielding goons.

Happy Easter, 2012

It’s Easter Sunday. In today’s Gospel (Jn. 20 1-9) we hear of Mary Magdalene discovering the empty tomb. That first Easter morning was filled with “hysterical” moments. There was awe, disbelief, amazement, confusion and lots of running! Awesome, that first Easter morning!
