Mag-rapids sa Pagsanjan
Mag-diving sa Anilao
Mag-surfing sa Siargao?... halina byahe tayo
While the country was cursed,
sent back to pehistoric ages.
there's absolutely no news of the outside world
no tv, no radio, most of all no cellphones
it was friday, no more turning back
i have to hurdle impassable roads
must get to office and must revive
get my phone back to life
CBD was no exception, skyscraper of darkness
and so was our antiquated office building.
Only the hallways were lit, barely breathing
to charge my phone was the order of the day
success it was, i was ready to go. But no.
There's work to be done. Application to run.
Must finish. Must be emancipated from
the throes of modern day dictator - computer.
Damn the situation. Thorn by anticipation.
It was my lucky day. Made a call, get the direction.
Travelling was fun. The sight i saw -- destruction.
But Batangas was different, barely touched.
Arrived i did in style.
Welcome to Residencia Pastor - Acosta 1883
Very Spanish, very old, very ....
not to mention the numerous automobiles of all sizes
(why was i born poor... bwahahaha...)
The sun rose and all the opulence aside
and with all the packed foods safely towed behind
we climbed the everest and headed straight to ANILAO
yes, ANILAO! the beaches, the corals, and the fishes
Like a virgin, we dived for the first time (at least for me)
It was heaven beneath the superficial emerald- aquamarine sea
There were alien creatures, swimming, floating, in different colors
There were nemos and dorys, and scars, no sting rays on the sea floor
The sight was really amazing, the sea world captivating
colony of sea urchins, spikes were threatining
A melange of fish species, gliding, interacting
stream of colors, dull, bright, incandecsent blithe

Horrendous howling wind
battered and brawled the metropolis
trees snapped, bereft of leaves
billboards crashed, stripped of vanity
rivers rose, flooded the commmunity
mountains slid, burrying an entirety
unleashed on us, Earth's fury
we screamed, scampered, cried unpampered
to say the aftermath was shocking
is an understatement -- choking
uprooted century old trees good for burning
condemned DAO weathered, standing, looking laughing
while most part of Luzon was benighted
scoundrels' abound, gushed leprotic blood
winner was he who stole the most electric cables
mother of all winner is he who stole electric pylons
-- power interruption extended, indefinitely...
